Carter is a strategy and innovation consultant whose work spans public, private, and non-profit spheres. She is currently the Director of Business Innovation with fuseproject, and previously worked with IDEO, Redscout and SY Partners in San Francisco, Singapore, and New York. Carter has worked with a range of clients including Bank of America, Conde Nast, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Target, Westin, and the Singapore government to design new products, processes, services, environments, branding, and organizational structures.
Carter adores community- and user-driven design, and has served as a guest critic at California College of the Arts. Originally from Virginia, Carter received a BA in Literary and Cultural Studies from the College of William and Mary, where she focused on Marketing and American Society, and earned an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University School of Art. She now resides in New York City.
